![]() Just put the number 9 between the kill command the job number. It lists the process as “terminated.” If the process does not respond to the kill command you can take it up a notch. When the Enter key is next pressed, a status of the job is shown. Kill sends the SIGTERM signal, signal number 15, to the process and it is terminated.
